Dental Bridges

Dental Bridges are a method to bridge and fill the gap between one or more missing teeth between two healthy teeth. They are made up of two or more crowns on either side of the gap with a false tooth (or teeth) between them. Most often, porcelain teeth are used to fill the gap to give your smile a natural look.

Not only will a dental bridge restore your beautiful smile, but it will also help improve your speech and chewing abilities and will keep your natural teeth from shifting from their proper positions.

The process for the installment of a dental bridge is fairly easy. Upon your first visit, your crowns will be placed. The dentist will recontour the natural tooth, removing some enamel to make room for the crown to be secured on top. Then, impressions will be made, which will serve as a model for the new teeth. You will be given a temporary bridge to wear to protect your exposed gums. Upon your next visit, the temporary bridge will be removed, and your dentist will place the permanent bridge. It will be adjusted accordingly to ensure a proper fit and comfort. After it is secure and correctly adjusted, the bridge will then be cemented into place, giving you a strong and healthy smile for years to come!
